Christmas is hurtling towards us and the team have gone full 'Christmas elf', surviving on mince pies and chocolate biscuits as they recommend, order, wrap and post books, book subscriptions and Christmas Eve boxes all over the UK.

Do pop in for last minute book ideas, we love to help you tick things off your never-ending 'to do' lists - helping you really is the best bit of the job!

2024 has been a blast! We had some fantastic events, collaborated with some amazing local people, including Five Little Pigs, The Corn Exchange, TWHAS, Friends of Goring Library, The Coppa Club and the Bunkfest Fringe, and set up writing and poetry groups that are going from strength to strength. Book Club continues to grow and is a real highlight for Nicky and I each month. Our schools business is growing organically and we already have over a dozen events booked in for 2025. Needless to say we plan to build on this in the coming months, so watch this space as we have some exciting ideas that we hope you'll love.

Of course, none of this would be possible without your support, so thank you SO much for loving the shop as much as we do. You are a fantastic bunch of bibliophiles and very much a part of our Wallingford Bookshop family.

Libro.fm - An Audiobook Alternative

We are often asked for audio books, and whilst some are still available to purchase on CD, numbers have declined in recent years. Up until now, we have directed customers to the Libby and Borrowbox apps, which offer free audiobook downloads for library members, but there are sometimes queues for books, which can put some customers off.

So, now we've signed up to Libro.fm, the Bookshop.org of digital audio books! Click here to find out more :)

We'll contact you when your book(s) is ready for collection from the shop.

You can pay prior to collection by bank transfer, by debit or credit card over the phone, or pay when you collect .

Alternatively, order online through bookshop.org.

POSTAL / DELIVERY OPTIONS:

If you would prefer not to visit the shop to collect your purchases, we offer free delivery to OX10 postcodes, Goring, Streatley and Upper and Lower Basildon. We are also very happy to post books for you (postage charges will apply and there may be delays due to any postal strikes). A gift wrapping service is also available.
